See the circle of life in full swing during turtle nesting season on Heron Island from December onwards, catch a glimpse of the magnificent hump back whale off Wilson Island in July.

- Brampton Island Green Tree Frogs are active and breeding and the Flatback & Green Turtles laying eggs and hatchlings scampering to the sea
- Heron and Wilson Islands Peak breeding season for sea birds, particularly Black Noddies, Mutton Birds and Eastern Reef Egrets and turtles laying eggs and turtle hatchlings can be seen making their way to the sea
- Lizard Island Green Trees Frogs dominate the nocturnal sound show as they come out to breed

- Red Centre Thorny Devil eggs begin to hatch
- Brampton Island Melaleuca Forest often floods with Eastern Dwarf Tree Frogs.
- Flatback & Green Turtles laying eggs and hatchlings may be seen emerging from nests
- Heron and Wilson Islands Wedge-tailed Shearwater Mutton Bird chicks hatching – island birdlife remains active
- Lizard Island Terns swarming around Osprey Island preying on the summer fish stocks

- Brampton Island Migratory birds arrive from the South, many of which will remain for winter and the Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog and Green Tree Frogs continue to breed
- Lizard Island Sacred Kingfishers often sighted around the island
- Red Centre Sturt Desert Pea flowering

- Brampton Island Black and Blue Tiger Butterflies begin to arrive
- Red Centre Camel breeding season begins and Wedge-tailed Eagle breeding season commences

- Red Centre Woma Python breeding season commences
- Brampton Island Dugongs often seen at the jetty in afternoons
- Huge aggregations of Blue Tiger Butterflies are witnesses around the Resort
- El Questro The deciduous Boab is starting to drop its leaves
- Heron and Wilson Islands Young Wedge-tailed Shearwaters are still learning to fly and leave the island

- Brampton Island Kangaroos visiting the golf course and Boo-Books Owls are heard at night
- Heron and Wilson Islands Humpback Whales northern migration begins and they are often seen passing through waters
- Lizard Island Playful Spinner Dolphins may surf the bow wave on the outer reef trips
- Red Centre Mulgara breeding season begins

- Red Centre Wedge-tailed Eagle breeding season at its peak and Sturts Desert Rose is in full bloom
- Brampton Island Humpback & Minke Whales breeding
- Heron and Wilson Islands Eastern Reef Egrets start building their nests
- Lizard Island Sightings of Humpback Whales and Minke Whales during their migration to warmer waters for calving

- Brampton Island Whale breaching frequently seen. Koalas can be spotted around the island
- El Questro Freshwater Crocodiles nest in sandbanks close to water and lay up to 20 eggs
- Heron and Wilson Islands Good Humpback Whale sightings and towards the end of the month the Black Noddies begin returning
- Lizard Island Marlin season begins with Black Marlin cruising the outer reef during their breeding season

- Red centre Blue-tongued Lizard and Spinifex hopping mouse breeding season commences
- Heron and Wilson Islands Humpback Whales are active.
- Lizard Island Minke and Humpback Whale sightings and the Black Flying Foxes can be seen feeding on mango fruits around the resort at night

- Brampton Island The Black-headed Flying Fox’s begin to breed
- Heron and Wilson Islands Black Noddies nesting, Wedge-tailed Shearwaters returning to the island to nest. Turtle mating may be observed
- Lizard Island Black Marlin begin their spawning season on the outer reef
- Red Centre Female Thorny Devil’s and Woma Python begin to lay eggs

- Alice Springs Resort Chance to see the Todd River in flood into December
- Brampton Island Tuna and other pelagic fish species active
- Heron and Wilson Islands Turtle egg laying begins and Black Noddy eggs can be seen in the nest
- Lizard Island Coral reef annual spawning towards the end of the month
- Green, Loggerhead and Hawksbill Turtles seen grazing on sea grasses along the beaches towards the end of the month

- Brampton Island Flatback & Green Turtles laying eggs on Brampton & Carlisle Islands, hatchlings starting to emerge
- Heron and Wilson Islands Bird life is extremely active. Turtle hatchlings begin emerging from the sand.
- Lizard Island Occasional sightings of Manta Rays around the island
- Young Osprey often sighted returning to nests to roost prior to leaving
