El Questro Wilderness Park - Australia's most famous cattle station property - will re-open on April 1, following a five-month hiatus during the tropical wet season.
Thrown into the spotlight following the Australia movie, which was filmed in the rugged Kimberley region with the dramatic Cockburn Range as the backdrop, El Questro Wilderness Park is an adventurer's dream offering 200km of walking trails, gorge waterfalls and waterholes, horse riding, barramundi heli-fishing and 4WD tours, to name but a few.
Offering three types of accommodation - tented cabins at Emma Gorge Resort, camping and bungalows at the Station Township and the exclusive El Questro Homestead - El Questro Wilderness Park opens from 1 April to 30 October every year, allowing for the dramatic thunderstorms to pass over the Kimberley and replenish its numerous gorges and waterfalls during the annual wet season.
To celebrate the start of a new season, Voyages is offering guests a great value for money El Questro Early Bird deal. Representing a 33% saving off the nightly room rate, the deal is a Stay 3/Pay 2 nights special offer for Emma Gorge Resort www.elquestro.com.au/emma-gorge-resort, and El Questro Station Township www.elquestro.com.au/township *
Three nights in a Tented Cabin at Emma Gorge Resort (twin-share) cost from $540 per room with the Stay 3/Pay 2 special offer. Three nights in a Bungalow at El Questro Station Township (twin-share) cost from $624 per room with the Stay 3/Pay 2 special offer.
According to Anna Guillan, Voyages' Executive General Manager Sales and Marketing, management and staff at all three El Questro properties are putting the finishing touches to guest facilities and readying themselves for an influx of visitors eager to experience Australia's tropical wilderness at its greenest and most spectacular.
"We're really excited about the introduction of our great Early Bird deal. When travellers are looking at the most affordable holidays, our Stay 3/Pay 2 deals really do represent great value for money," Guillan said.
For some luxury, treat yourselves to El Questro Homestead, an icon of the Kimberley. The private Chamberlain Suite offers a double bathtub on the verandah perched above the Chamberlain Gorge, and is so popular it can often be booked out months in advance. Voyages El Questro Homestead has rooms starting from $3,780 per room for a two-night stay and includes all meals, premium alcoholic beverages and touring.
