Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia offers experience-based holidays in spectacular wilderness locations, including Ayers Rock Resort in the iconic Red Centre and tourism facilities in Mossman Gorge, located in tropical Queensland.
This role is located at our office in Sydney, which serves as a central hub, providing support to our operational teams based in our two locations.
We are seeking a dedicated business development professional with experience in tourism or resort products. You will need strong negotiation skills, knowledge of Australian tourism structure and markets to join our Sales & Marketing Team as Business Development Executive. To be successful in this role you will need to achieve revenue, ADR & occupancy budgets through proactive business development of distribution partners.
There is a travel requirement to this role, you will be required to be meeting with existing & potential clients externally most weeks as well as attending events and tradeshows throughout the year. This includes travelling Sydney wide and interstate.

Key duties:
- Develop and implement revenue expansion initiatives for existing distribution partners.
- Identify and secure new distribution partners with high revenue potential.
- Pro-active and frequent engagement with distribution partners prioritising in-person selling and product training.
- Develop annual distribution partner revenue generation & engagement plan.
- Attend tradeshows and host familiarisations for Voyages portfolio of products.
- Design and deliver product training to trade partners.
- Coordinate trade communications.
- Worked within a heavily KPI driven environment, with proven revenue generating partnerships.
- Established relationships with Domestic & Inbound tourism distributors.
- Proven business development experience (or similar) with relevant tourism or resort product
- Understanding of tourism organisation structures & operations
- Numerate with solid and demonstrable analytical skills.
- Salesforce Sales Cloud platform
- Comfortable with cold calling and actively selling Ayers Rock Resort as a destination.
