This role is located at our office in Sydney, which serves as a central business hub. Reporting to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and with the support of Legal Counsel, this role will provide legal services across all locations.
We are seeking a dedicated professional with extensive experience in property and commercial law to join our Legal and Compliance Team as Senior Legal Counsel. This role will see you overseeing the day-to-day legal function at Voyages managing our contract portfolio, providing legal advice and support to all areas of the business, managing privacy, intellectual property, consumer protection and operational legal risk and compliance at all levels of the business.

Key duties:
- Manage Voyages contractual exposure including the review, negotiation and drafting of a wide range of contracts and legal documentation.
- Support commercial and regulatory compliance for the organisation.
- Provide high quality and commercially astute legal advice.
- Prepare, review and implement contractual documentation for transactional and project work.
- Develop, review and implement legal processes and template documents.
To be successful for this role you will have:
- At least 10 years' PAE legal experience in a similar commercial environment gained in both private practice and inhouse roles. Top tier legal firm experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Laws (Hons preferred) and a current Solicitor’s Practising Certificate for NSW.
- Sound knowledge of, and deep experience with, the law relating to property, corporations, contracts and commercial law.
- A demonstrated capacity to quickly understand the regulatory and commercial compliance environment for the hospitality and tourism industry across various Australian jurisdictions.
- Ability to initiate, plan and organise projects and work programs, manage conflicting priorities, meet deadlines and identify high value business outcomes.
