Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia held a ceremony at Ayers Rock Resort last weekend recognising 17 students graduating from the National Indigenous Training Academy (NITA) program. Students from this graduating group will go on to join the Voyages workforce at Ayers Rock Resort as well as AAT Kings.
NITA was established to provide young Indigenous Australians with solid career prospects in Tourism, Hospitality, Landscape Gardening and Retail, at Voyages properties - Ayers Rock Resort and Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre in Queensland - as well as wider employment opportunities with other organisations. This year’s event brings the total number of graduates to 640 since the program’s inception in 2011.
Pictured at the ceremony are the NITA graduating class of 2023 as well as special guest, the Honourable Chanston (Chansey) Paech, Northern Territory Attorney General and Minister for Justice; Members of the Voyages Board and executive team.
